Today we ate breakfast at the famous Cafe Du Monde. The beignets were delicious, as were the coffee drinks that many of us enjoyed. We were lucky to arrive at the Cafe before it opened at 9am, so we were near the front of the line, and didn't have to wait long. We weren't the only ones with this idea, and the line behind us got very long, very quickly! Beignets are touted as being "doughnut-like," but our group was in agreement that they are more like rectangular funnel cakes. :-) Either way, no one complained about breakfast this morning, although many of us did leave the cafe with powdered sugar mustaches!
